This section contains clips taken over the years. All clips were done "on the fly" and were not rehearsed in any way. Most are done amongst friends, with a lot of humor and passion. Due to well meaning advice from those who know better about these things, I have to state the following advisories to avoid Miss-understandings:

I have satisfied the requirements for 5 of the most prestigious Korean Martial Art bodies from Korea re my rank and title. I did this through hard work and obstinacy, with a bit of luck and a lot of fun along the way. I have satisfied the "classical" or standard "style" requirements of those bodies. |

The videos are in no way portrayals of those premier bodies "pure" styles. They are my interpretations and evolvements. This is quite clear to experienced KMA, but not to others. Besides, even those senior to me cannot agree what "pure" HKD or TKD is anymore. |

I am only ranked in 2 KMA's, HKD and TKD. I have no qualification in any other classical martial art, nor do I study any other. This means no kung-fu, kali, tiddlywinks, origami, etc. |

I am also recognized as a specialist in Military Close Quarter Combat; my papers are displayed in the certificates section |

I will generally wear HKD doboks for HKD; TKD doboks for TKD; BDU's for CQC. I have the right to wear these specific apparel, and to choose what I wish to wear. |

A lot of my movements in the videos are restricted, and sometimes incomplete on the follow through. This is simply because I am in a great deal of pain when executing almost any physical activity since 1990 due to chronic injuries to my lower back and knees. Doubting Thomas-es can have these verified via my government approved MRI scans, but these will cost you. Big time. So put up or shut up :-) |

All the core physical pillars of HKD and TKD are executed respectively; any mistakes, warts and all, are mine and not my Masters'. |

My underlying concept is that of flow. |

Please do not ask me to comment on those persons outside the styles that I am qualified in, as it is not the "way". Again, every one has their own style; if they are properly qualified, so be it. |

No animals were harmed during the filming of these videos; those on the buffet tables outside were already cooking when we got there. No minors were involved in the (test) consumption of alcohol :-) |
