HAND DRILLS 3/3 (2 and 1 count)

The 2 count is a cut down or simplistic counter exercise for an attack that is deemed more easily intercepted e.g. Not as fast or strong, or perhaps well telegraphed ahead.

Similiarly ,the 1 count is an immediate counter attack tactic for experienced or advanced practitioners which simply avoids the incoming attack with deft body and stance shifts, then using an immediate counter attacking without blocking.

 



1. Downward strike incoming



2. Shift Right, parry with Right hand




3. Check Left and strike with
Right hand backfist




 



1. Incoming hook punch



2. Shift to Right, Left hand extended
punch




3. OR shift back first to Right, extend
Right hand punch
